The Living Lab project aims to position Andorra as a leading innovation centre, with the backing and participation of the MIT a feather in the country’s cap. Researchers from MIT Media Lab’s City Science Initiative have taken advantage of the country’s small size and openness to new ideas to prototype, deploy, and test urban innovation.
Companies of all sizes that are heavily reliant on technology, both hardware and software, are keen supporters of the Living Lab initiative.
“This great tool must allow for the implementation of measures aimed at improving people’s quality of life and our visitors’ experience, and also the creation of an ecosystem which will enable the development of cutting- edge technology companies in Andorra. The application of data spatial analysis methodologies has to allow measure to be adopted which can affect areas ranging from tourism and commerce to human mobility and all types of transport systems, including energy and the protection of the environment.”
